Taking the Mystery Out of Child Custody

The second lecture in The People¹s Law College series was conducted Tuesday, Feb. 23, at the Adams-Pratt Oakland County Law Library in Pontiac.  Speaking on the topic of "Taking the Mystery Out of Child Custody" were (left to right) Oakland County Friend of the Court Referee Sahera Housey and Thomas M. Cooley Law School Professor Ashley Lowe.  Attendees heard about Michigan child custody procedures and how the process works for unmarried parents.  The People's Law College, sponsored by the Public Services Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association, helps to educate the public on the law and various legal issues.  The next lecture will be conducted Tuesday, March 23, on the topic of "Drivers License Restoration and Expungement."  Photo by John Meiu.
