Wayne State University Law School hosted oral arguments before the Michigan Court of Appeals on Thursday, March 11, in the Law School's Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium. Gathering prior to oral argument were (left to right) Wayne Law Legal Research and Writing Director and Professor Anne Burr, Michigan Court of Appeals Judges Kurtis T. Wilder, Michael Talbot and Michael Kelly; and Wayne Law Dean and Professor Bob Ackerman. The event provided an opportunity for students to spend a day before the Michigan Court of Appeals without leaving the law school. Experienced counsel argued actual appellate cases before the three-judge panel. Students were able to observe a variety of oral argument styles as well as the procedures of the Michigan Court of Appeals. Photo by John Meiu.
