An impressive turnout of attorneys and area judges highlighted a “Forum for In House Counsel and Networking Event” on Tuesday, March 1, in Bloomfield Hills.
The event was sponsored by the Oakland County Bar Association and served as the kickoff for a series of quarterly programs on topics of interest to in house counsel in the corporate, public, and nonprofit, sectors.
Judy Cunningham (right), corporation counsel for Oakland County and vice president of the OCBA, helped spearhead the March 1 launch, offering welcoming remarks in addition to those presented by OCBA President Jennifer Grieco (left) and Joe Papelian, deputy general counsel for Delphi Corp. and chairman of the program series.
The first program in the series is scheduled for Tuesday, April 5, from 7:30-9 a.m. at Delphi’s world headquarters in Troy. The program, which is free, will feature a discussion on “Internal Investigations.” The presenters will include Tom Cranmer of Miller Canfield and a past president of the State Bar of Michigan; Alan Gershel, professor at Cooley Law School and a former federal prosecutor; and Papelian, also a former federal prosecutor.
