Reception raises funds for FLAC

The Free Legal Aid Clinic (FLAC) conduced its 46th Annual Spring Reception and Fund-raiser on Friday, April 15, at the Detroit Yacht Club in celebration of 46 years of providing legal assistance to low-income community residents and practical legal experience to the students of Wayne State University Law School.

Happy to lend support were FLAC student attorneys (left to right) John Zervos, Sam Saif, Jennifer Gross, John Hughes, Caroline Gersch, Jordan Leff, Stefanie Phillips, Mike Klinefelt, and Eric Gregory.

FLAC is a nonprofit organization that provides legal counsel to those who cannot otherwise afford it.  Clients include victims of domestic violence, the elderly, and many others who would have no access to legal representation without its services.

FLAC has been providing legal assistance to the citizens of Metro-Detroit since 1965, and fund-raisers are essential to the continued success of the clinic.  Anyone wishing to donate in support of FLAC should visit www.detroitflac.com.
