Clark Hill PLC hosted its third Annual Service Day on Saturday, June 25, 2011. Nearly 200 volunteers from Clark Hill spent the day supporting area food banks throughout the country.
“For the third year on a row, we have had a great experience volunteering and supporting our area food banks,” said Don Lee, Chief Marketing Officer of Clark Hill PLC. “This is a fantastic partnership for our firm and we look forward to working together in years to come.”
Over the past three years, Clark Hill has hosted fundraisers and food drives to support area food banks and continues to host the annual Service Day in what traditionally is a more challenging time of year for the food banks to secure volunteer services. Nearly 200 Clark Hill volunteers stocked food items, sorted inventory and otherwise assisted the food banks with their goals this past weekend.
Clark Hill’s Chicago office participated in the Greater Chicago Food Depository Hunger Walk, which has annually coincided with Clark Hill Cares Service Day.
• In Detroit and Birmingham, Clark Hill volunteers spent the day at Gleaner’s Community Food Bank in Detroit.
• In Grand Rapids, the volunteers supported the Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank.
• In Lansing, the volunteers worked on behalf of the Mid-Michigan Food Bank.
• In Phoenix, the volunteers provided assistance at the Desert Mission Food Bank.
In addition to Service Day, the Clark Hill Cares program hosts an annual “Cash and Cans” drive during the winter months. The firm has raised more than $10,000 for area food banks through this program and donated more than an additional 20,000 meals for those in need.
