OCBA gives 'Practical Pointers to Manage Foreclosures,' May 10
The Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) will present "Practical Pointers to Manage Foreclosures" on Thursday, May 10, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Oakland County Bar Center in Bloomfield Hills.
Recent legislative changes and other influential appellate decision have changed the foreclosure landscape in Michigan. As the number of individuals affected by foreclosure continues to grow, this seminar will explain first-hand how these challenges are managed. Participants will hear multiple perspectives on foreclosure, eviction, short sales, loss mitigation, recent case law, and revisions to Michigan's foreclosure-by-advertisement statute.
Marc P. Jerabek of Plunkett Cooney will moderate the seminar and speakers include Jonathan L. Engman of Fabrizio & Brook PC, Craig A. Aronoff of Aronoff & Linnell, and Elizabeth Messing of Orlans.
The cost to attend for OCBA members who pre-register is $75; $100 for non-OCBA members who pre-register; and $53 for OCBA new lawyer members who pre-register. At the door OCBA members pay $100; non-OCBA members pay $130, and OCBA new lawyers pay $70. For additional information or to register, call (248) 334-3400 or visit www.ocba.org.
