Family Mediation Council presents program, April 21

"Making Mediation Happen Early in Family Cases" will be presented by the Family Mediation Council-Michigan on Saturday, April 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Schoocraft College VistaTech Center, 18600 Haggerty in Livonia. Continental breakfast and registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The program will present several speakers and the chance to discuss mediation issues with the experienced mediators at lunch. The speakers and their topics include: --Suzanne Terry, Woodbury Institute, Chaplain College, Vermont, "We Have a Better Way--So What? The Challenge of Early Engagement in Mediation." --Monika Holzer Sacks and Nancy Fishman, "Making Peace While Feeling Like War: Helping Clients Balance Their Emotions and the Path to Resolution." --Livingston County 53rd District Court Judge Carol Sue Reader, Gary Marsh, and Denise Couling, "Harnessing the Power of Community Collaboration to Support a Culture of Mediation." --Siri Gottlieb, "Enlarging the Tent: Bringing Other Experts into Mediation to Promote Resolution."
