Final People's Law College explores driver's license restoration
The Adams-Pratt Oakland County Law Library will host the "Removing Barriers to Employment: Driver's License Restoration and Criminal Expungement" workshop on Tuesday, April 24, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Attorney Raymond A. Correll will educate attendees on the legal process in the state of Michigan to restore a driver's license or to expunge a criminal offense. The workshop will be of interest to those having difficulty securing employment, housing, or credit due to these issues. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the necessary criteria to be eligible for either court procedure and to receive information on how to begin the process.
This workshop is the final in a series of four public lectures on legal topics that will be presented in the first half of 2012. The lecture series is titled, The People's Law College. Members of the public are invited to attend and educate themselves to get answers on legal issues.
The People's Law College is sponsored by the Public Services Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association. The workshop is open to the public. There is no charge to attend, however seating is limited to 40 people. The public is encouraged to register in advance with the Oakland County Bar Association. To register, call 248-334-3400.
