WLAM-Washtenaw will elect board members at meeting

The 2012-2013 board members of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan-Washtenaw region will be held at WLAM's annual meeting on Wednesday, May 16. The event will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Cottage Inn, 512 E. Williams St., Ann Arbor. The WLAM-Washtenaw nominating committee presents the following slate of candidates to be placed on the final ballot for the 2011-2012 election: president, Elizabeth Kitchen-Troop; vice president, Bonnie R. Shaw; treasurer, Katherine M. Sharkey; and secretary, Jennifer L. Lawrence. According to WLAM bylaws, any qualified member whose name does not appear on the slate presented by the nominating committee has until 5:00 on April 20 to present a petition for candidacy. Such a petition must be signed by at least five qualified members and submitted to Katherine M. Sharkey, WLAM-Washtenaw's secretary. Lunch is complimentary for members of the Washtenaw region and $10 for non-members, with cash or check accepted at the meeting.
