SAVE Task Force presents Symposium on Elder Abuse Awareness and Prevention
On Friday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Oakland County SAVE (Serving Adults who are Vulnerable and/or Elderly) Task Force will be hosting a countywide Symposium on Elder Abuse Awareness and Prevention.
The symposium will be conudcted in the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Auditorium , Oakland County Courthouse, 1200 North Telegraph in Pontiac. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. and a light luncheon will be provided.
The keynote speaker will be Kari Sederburg, director of Michigan Office of Services to the Aging. This event is free for professionals and interested citizens and will be an opportunity to learn about the new protocols for identifying and reporting elder abuse and exploitation and Michigan's response to these important issues.
