The Barton Hills Country Club was the setting for the annual benefit for The Jean Ledwith King Women's Center May 11.

The evening, which included dinner, music, and a live and silent auction, generates nearly one-third of the center's annual operating budget.

So far, the gross revenue for the event is just over $95,000.

"We expect that it will keep eeking up over the next week or so, and because we keep expenses low, when all is said and done the event should net about $90,000 toward funding our mission," said Executive Director Kim Cumming. "An amazing community effort."

The center offers personal counseling, job coaching, financial counseling, tax preparation assistance and divorce support to more than 600 women, girls and families each year.
