Golf outing to be held May 21

The fourth annual Swing to Cure Diabetes Golf Outing to benefit the University of Michigan Comprehensive Diabetes Center and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will take place Monday, May 21 at the U-M Golf Course with an 11 a.m. shotgun start.
The outing includes 18 holes of golf, a boxed lunch, dinner, prizes, gifts and a live and silent auction. Expected to attend are former University of Michigan football coaches Lloyd Carr, Gary Moeller and Jerry Hanlon.
Swing to Cure Diabetes was founded by former University of Michigan football player and Varnum attorney Rich Hewlett and his wife, Chris, after their son, Jeffrey, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 14 years ago.
