Posthumous Degree Awarded: Cooley Holds Graduation Ceremony
Thomas M. Cooley Law School held its spring commencement on Sunday, May 20 at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Mich. During the ceremony, school officials honored student Amber Andaloro, who died suddenly in December. Andaloro would have received her Juris Doctor during the ceremony. Her mother, Beverly Andaloro, and brother, Mykel, were presented Amber's diploma posthumously during Sunday's graduation. Before attending Cooley, Amber earned her bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University and was an honored graduate at the Culinary Institute of America. While at Cooley, she became the managing editor and board member of the Thomas M. Cooley Journal of Practical and Clinical Law, earning the award for outstanding board member.
