Museum selects local outdoor art destinations
DETROIT (AP) -- The Detroit Institute of Arts has selected the area communities that'll take part in the next round of the museum's "InsideOut" program.
Each of the 13 communities will have five to 12 reproductions of DIA works clustered within walking or bike-riding distance of each other.
The five new "InsideOut" participants this summer are Clawson, Garden City, Trenton, Troy, and Waterford.
The other eight communities have participated in the program before, but their reproductions will be placed in different locations. They are Dearborn, Detroit, Ferndale, Macomb County's Clinton Township, Macomb County's Harrison Township, Northville, Royal Oak, and Wayne County's Canton Township.
The reproductions for this round of "InsideOut" will be on view from July 3 to Sept. 30.
The exact location of each work is still being determined.
