Workshop looks at self representation in Small Claims Court, June 20

The Adams-Pratt Oakland County Law Library will host the "How to Represent Yourself in Small Claims Court" workshop on Wednesday, June 20, at 4 p.m.
Kelly Bidleman, managing attorney for the Oakland and Macomb Staff Offices of the Legal Aid and Defender Association Inc., will educate attendees on the Small Claims Court process in the state of Michigan. Her presentation will be of particular interest to those individuals needing to file a claim against someone or collect on a money judgment. Camelia Ureche, general manager of the Oakland Mediation Center will also speak about mediation options for attendees.
The workshop is being sponsored by the Legal Aid and Defender Association Inc. and is open to the public. There is no charge to attend, however seating is limited to 40 people. Registration will begin at 3:30 p.m. Beverages and light snacks will be provided.
The Adams-Pratt Oakland County Law Library is located at 1200 North Telegraph Road in Building 14 East, which is on the second floor of the West Wing Extension, which is located in the five-story glass building attached to the main courthouse building.
