County officials to honor 'Project: Forgive'
Oakland County Commissioners Jim Nash, along with Commissioner Bill Dwyer, will honor Oakland County residents Gary Weinstein and Shawne Duperon for their compelling and inspiring documentary "Project: Forgive." This effort focuses on the meaning of forgiveness and the journey of those who forgive and the forgiven.
The documentary shares the story of Gary Weinstein who forgave the drunk driver who killed his wife Judy and their two sons a few years ago. The driver and the Weinstein Family shared a mutual friend Shawne Duperon, who shares her feelings and experience about the ordeal. Project: Forgive is a joint effort created by Shawne Dupreon and Gary Weinstein.
At the Board of Commissioners, the creators of Project: Forgive will share insight and a clip of their project. They will be presented with a proclamation at the 9:30 a.m. meeting. For additional information, contact Commissioner Jim Nash at 248-217-8829.
