The Michigan Muslim Bar Association hosted its Iftar Scholarship Dinner on Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Byblos Banquet Hall in Dearborn.
During the dinner scholarships were presented to law students who won the association’s essay contest.
Among the winners were Lena Kamal (left) and Ali Charara (right) who received certificates from Muslim Bar President Dewnya Bazzi (center) of Romanzi Atnip PC.
“Today is our first Iftar Scholarship Dinner which we have started after the rejuvenation of the Michigan Muslim Bar Association,” Bazzi said.
“We wanted to bring members in — attorneys, politicians, law students — all under one roof for this dinner in Ramadan to award scholarships to law students who have been working very hard and whose semesters just ended.”
