Annual No-Fault Institute presented by MAJ

The Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ) will host its Ninth Annual No-Fault Institute on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 20-21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Westin, Southfield. Coordinating the program will be George Sinas of Sinas, Dramis, Brake, Boughton, & McIntyre; and Wayne Miller of Miller & Tischler. Topics will include Recent Supreme Court decisions, New Federal and Appellate Update, Understanding the Insurance Industry's Tactics, Understanding New Legislation and the Status of No-Fault "Reform" Legislation, Neck & Back Injury Medicine, Tort Threshold Update, MCCA Practices & Personnel, District Court Practice, Representing Medical Providers and Liens on Provider Recovery, and Recent Verdicts. "NFI is perfectly timed this year. We are mere weeks after a slew of major Supreme Court decisions that further devastate our ability to represent our clients, and mere weeks before we go to the polls to do something about it," said Miller. "NFI will have our usual thorough discussions of the developing retro-case law. We will have new discussions, including a section devoted to the policies and practices of a number of major no-fault insurers. And, as always, our faculty includes the top no-fault practitioners around." Seminar fees include seminar, digital materials, food and beverages. There will be an additional $20 charge for registering at the door. Cost is $365 for members, $260 for members in practice 3 years or less, $185 for sustaining members, $185 for paralegal members, $495 for non-members, and $75 for optional hard copy handbook (in addition to above seminar fees). Call MAJ at 517-321-3073 to register. Published: Fri, Sep 7, 2012
