Local attorneys named Super Lawyers, Rising Stars
Eight more Ann Arbor attorneys have been recognized as some of the best attorneys in the state by Michigan Super Lawyers. This multi-phased, peer review rating process recognizes only five percent of attorneys as Super Lawyers and 2.5 percent achieve Rising Star status.
The honorees include five Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C. attorneys practicing in the firm's Ann Arbor office. Peter Falkenstein, Lawrence Jordan, Michael Khoury and Peter Sugar have been recognized as Michigan Super Lawyers, while Jeremy Bisdorf has received a Michigan Rising Star honor.
Falkenstein, a firm partner, is a member of the intellectual property and litigation practice group and has earned the Super Lawyer distinction since 2006. In addition to trademark and copyright litigation, Falkenstein's clients include performing artists, authors and publishers.
Intellectual Property Group coordinator and managing partner of the Ann Arbor office, Jordan is receiving the Super Lawyer recognition for the seventh consecutive time. Throughout his career, he has gained experience in intellectual property law, including technology transfer, biotech, publishing and entertainment law.
Khoury, a partner in the firm's corporate and technology groups, specializes his practice in commercial business and technology matters. He has earned the Super Lawyer distinction since 2006.
A partner and member of the Firm's securities regulation practice group, Sugar is an expert in securities regulation, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions representing both private and public companies. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyer for six consecutive years.
Elizabeth Kitchen-Troop has been named a 2012 Rising Star in family law by Super Lawyers, a rating service of outstanding lawyers.
Kitchen-Troop practices law in Washtenaw County with Kline Legal Group, PLC, where she has handled primarily family law matters for eight years. She also handles third-party auto negligence claims, construction lien foreclosure actions and driver's license restorations.
She is the president of the Washtenaw Region of Women Lawyers Association of Michigan and the secretary of the Washtenaw County Bar Association.
Jennifer B. Salvatore and David A. Nacht, principals at Nacht, Roumel, Salvatore, Blanchard, and Walker, PC, were both named 2012 Super Lawyers in the area of Labor and Employment law. Both Nacht and Salvatore represent individuals in employment and civil rights matters.
