Troy honored as one of the 100 Best Small Cities

On Thursday, Oct. 18, the Oakland County Board of Commissioners presented a proclamation to the Troy mayor and City Council members in recognition of the City of Troy’s selection as one of the 100 Best Small Cities for 2012 in the United States.  
 
Taking part in the presentation were (left to right) Oakland County Commissioner David W. Potts, Troy City Council member Dave Henderson, Commissioner Gary  McGillivray, Troy Mayor Pro-Tem Maureen McGinnis, Troy Mayor Janice Daniels, Commissioner Mike Bosnic, Troy City Council member Wade Fleming, and Commissioner Robert Gosselin.  
 
Troy was ranked as the top city in Michigan and was rated 26th nationally by Money Magazine.
 
The city was recognized because of its exceptional employment, leisure, schools, public safety, cost of living, and quality of life.
