A (Habeas) Chorus Line presented its annual public performance on Friday, Oct. 26, at Berkley High School auditorium.
This year’s show was titled “You Couldn’t Make This Up.”
Getting in tune before going out on stage were AHCL members (left to right) Joseph LaBella, vice president, director of contracts for Jack Morton Worldwide; Southfield attorney Brian Figot, executive director of the Federal Bar Association; Sara Fischer, a former case manager for the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan; Mark Lezotte of Hall, Render, Killian, Heath, & Lyman PLLC; Rochester Hills attorney Judy Zorn; Angela Williams, deputy general counsel with the Detroit Housing Commission; James Robb, associate dean and senior counsel of Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing; Michael Leibson, recently retired assistant U.S. attorney; and Justin Klimko of Butzel Long PC.
“Putting our show together is a lot of work, but it’s all worthwhile when we hear the audience laughing,” said Klimko, the group’s lyricist. “We never run out of material; there’s always something to lampoon.”
A (Habeas) Chorus Line was formed in 1992 for what the group thought was a one-time engagement for the local chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Since then they have performed at venues throughout Michigan and around the country.
