Brooksie Way Holiday Open House today at Crittenton Hospital

Shoppers looking for merchandise for that hard-to-buy-for runners or walker or who simply want a deal on next year's Brooksie Way races or training program, here's your chance.
The Brooksie Way Foundation is sponsoring a holiday open house on today from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the first floor lobby at Crittenton Hospital, 1101 W. University in Rochester Hills. Official Brooksie Way logo clothing and merchandise will be available.
Gift certificates that allow reduced rate entry for the 2013 Brooksie Way half marathon and 5k races are available at the open house: $45 for the half marathon and $30 for the 5k race. Special pricing is also available for entry into the training programs for both races.
"You won't see cheaper prices than you'll find at the open house," Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson said. "The proceeds from the open house help support The Brooksie Way Foundation and the minigrant program. This is convenient way for you to enter the race, support the community and pick up Brooksie Way merchandise."
There will be light refreshments and entertainment at the open house.
The Brooksie Way presented by HealthPlus, celebrating its fifth year, is named in memory of Brooks Stuart Patterson, a young father and the son of the county executive who died in 2007.
