YPSILANTI (AP) -- A second Michigan group has been invited to participate in next month's inaugural parade in Washington, D.C.
Organizers say Michigan's Multi-jurisdictional Mounted Police Drill Team and Color Guard from Ypsilanti was added to the list Wednesday.
The Presidential Inaugural Committee began sending out invitations Tuesday to participants chosen to march behind President Barack Obama from his swearing in at the Capitol to the White House on Jan. 21. Selectees also include the group Military Spouses of Michigan.
The application process was run by the military, beginning in October before the election and continuing through the end of last month.
