Snyder to give State of the State speech Jan. 16

LANSING (AP) -- Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder will deliver his third State of the State address on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the state Capitol.
The speech will start at 7 p.m. before a joint session of the Legislature inside the House chamber. The event is a chance for the Republican governor to set an agenda to start the third year of his four-year term.
The address will be broadcast live on most public television and radio stations. It also will be shown live online.
State lawmakers, Supreme Court justices, department heads and community leaders are expected to attend.
