The Oakland County Bar Association New Lawyers Basic Skill Seminar Series “Introduction to Practice” continued with a look at the topic of “Circuit Court” on Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Oakland County Bar Center. Among those leading the seminar were (l-r) Gerry Gleeson with Miller, Canfield, Paddock, & Stone PLC; David Mendelson with The Mendelson Law Firm; Sheila Garin and Travis Payson, both with Oakland County Circuit Court; and Farmington Hills attorney Joe Lavigne. The program looked into both the criminal and civil aspects of the Circuit Court and addressed “E-filing,” “Motion Practice,” “Court Clerk Procedural Matters,” “Pretrials, Trials, Sentencing, & Appeals,” and more.
