Circuit court introduced

 The Oakland County Bar Association New Lawyers Basic Skills Seminar Series “Introduction to Practice” continued with a look at the topic of “Circuit Court” on Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Oakland County Bar Center.

Among those leading the seminar were (left to right) Gerry Gleeson with Miller, Canfield, Paddock, & Stone PLC; David Mendelson with The Mendelson Law Firm; Sheila Garin and Travis Payson, both with Oakland County Circuit Court; and Farmington Hills attorney Joe Lavigne.  

The program looked into both the criminal and civil aspects of the Circuit Court and addressed “E-filing,” “Motion Practice,” “Court Clerk Procedural Matters,” “Pretrials, Trials, Sentencing, & Appeals,” and more.
