Nominations sought for workplace diversity award

South Central Human Resource Management Association (SCHRMA), an affiliated chapter of Society of Human Resource Management, is seeking nominations for the 2013 Workforce Diversity Celebration Award.
Workplace diversity is the collective mixture of differences and similarities that include individual and organizational characteristics, values, beliefs, experiences, backgrounds, preferences and behaviors.
The award is designed to increase community awareness of diversity and inclusion and help us understand how this affects our community.
Nominations are not required to be SHRM or SCHRMA members.
The 2012 winner was Jackson Community College.
Nominations will be accepted until April 8 and the award will be presented on May 23 at Cascades Manor House. The award will be presented by Karen Belair, Diversity Chairperson for SCHRMA.
Nomination forms may be found on the SCHRMA website-schrma.shrm.org. For more information, call Karen Belair at 517-750-1900, ext. 106 or email kbelair@arbormanorrehab.com.
