Commissioners seek citizens to serve on the Senior Advisory Council
Oakland County Commissioners are seeking senior citizens or a residents interested in senior issues to serve on the Oakland County Senior Advisory Council. The Senior Advisory Council focuses on issues specific to senior citizens in Oakland County. It's primary purpose is to advise the county executive on the needs and services required by the elderly and to point out gaps in the elderly network. The council meets on the third Monday of each month.
The Senior Advisory Council representatives appointed will serve a two-year term. Responsibilities include attending monthly meetings and assisting with committee work. Representatives are sought for the following districts:
--District #13 representing the City of Farmington Hills and the townships of Bloomfield and West Bloomfield.
--District #18 representing the cities of Ferndale, Hazel Park, Huntington Woods, Oak Park, and Royal Oak Township.
--District #19 representing the cities of Berkley and Royal Oak.
--District #20 representing the cities of Madison Heights, Pleasant Ridge, Troy, and Royal Oak.
