A party was hosted in honor of the retirement of Oakland County Corporation Counsel Judith Cunningham (left) on Thursday, April 25, at the Iroquois Club in Bloomfield Hills.
Among the well wishers thanking Cunningham for her more than 30 years of service was Oakland County Executive L. Brook Patterson (right) who appointed her to the position of corporation counsel in 1999.
She was the first woman to serve in that position. She began her service to the county as a full-time law clerk for Oakland County Circuit Court in 1982 before being promoted as deputy court administrator and subsequently circuit court administrator in 1988.
