'Probate Court: Appointed Attorney Training' presented

 The Oakland County Bar Association presented “Probate Court: Appointed Attorney Training” on Tuesday, June 11, at the Oakland County Bar Center in Bloomfield Hills.  

Oakland County Probate Court Administrator Rebecca Schnelz (far right) moderated the training which featured speakers (left to right) Michael J. Hughes of Booth Patterson PC discussing “GAL—Attorney’s Perspective”; Oakland County Probate Register Jill Koney Daly providing a “Legal Overview”; Birmingham attorney Deborah H. McKelvy speaking on “Mental Health Commitment and Developmentally Disabled Guardianship Defense”; and Mary Strobe of the Oakland County Health Division giving an “Assessment of Guidelines and the Nursing Role.”  

“Today is a training seminar for attorneys who wish to get on the appointment lists for the Oakland County Probate Court to handle guardian ad litem appointments, to handle mental health defense attorney appointments, and developmentally disabled defense attorney appointments,” Schnelz said.
