Jackson County Chamber opens new accessible nature trail
The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce recently held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting of the Nature for All Trail at Dahlem. The 3/8-mile trail, which starts at 7117 S. Jackson Road, is designed to accommodate wheelchairs, strollers, and mobility-enhancing walkers. The trail's surface is made of ResinPaveTM, a hard-packed, environmentally friendly material. Visitors can enjoy the sights and sounds of the outdoors while walking, and can rest at benches placed along the trail's route. The 300 acres of land at Dahlem include the Fannie Beach Arboretum, the Dahlem Ecology Farm, and five miles of walking trails.
