Obama nominates four to serve as judges in Mich.

DETROIT (AP) -- President Barack Obama has nominated four people to serve as U.S. District Court judges for the Eastern District of Michigan. The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press report the nominations were announced last Thursday. The four include Matthew Frederick Leitman, an attorney at the Miller Canfield law firm; Judith Ellen Levy, an assistant U.S. attorney in the Eastern District since 2000; Laurie J. Michelson, a magistrate judge for the Eastern District since 2011; and Linda Vivienne Parker, a judge in the Third Circuit Court in Detroit. Obama said in a statement that they'll "serve the American people with integrity and an unwavering commitment to justice."
