Bertolini receives annual tech. executive award
Oakland County Deputy County Executive/CIO Phil Bertolini was recently honored during Crain's CIO Summit at the Inn at St. John's in Plymouth. Bertolini was among the recipients of Crain's annual CIO Awards. It recognizes technology executives who innovate in the use of technology strategy, provide leadership in the industry, and have a track record of going beyond the call of duty.
"Under Phil's leadership, Oakland County is consistently ranked among the most digitally advanced counties in America," County Executive L. Brooks Patterson said. "The innovations in his department are producing leading-edge solutions that enhance services for residents--solutions we've made available to other governments in the cloud."
Bertolini is the winner of the award for organizations with revenue between $100 million and $1 billion. The award highlights Oakland County's technology that allows residents to pay court costs and other fees to local governments with credit cards. G2G Cloud Solutions, the county's cloud computing service, provides residents with the ability to interact with local governments over the web.
Bertolini credits his team for the award.
"Crain's CIO award is a credit to our dedicated, hardworking team for all they do to improve services for Oakland County residents," he said. "I am humbled to receive this award."
