'Speed Judging' presented by FBA's RISE Committee

The RISE Committee of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, will present "Speed Judging" on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from noon to 1:30 p.m at the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse, Room 115, in Detroit
Join the RISE Committee (for newer attorneys with 7 years of practice or less) in this event aimed at providing attorneys an opportunity to personally meet and mingle with multiple judicial officers in a regulated time frame.
For this event, each judicial officer will be seated at a separate table and have an interaction of no more than 3 minutes with two attorneys after which time period the attorneys will rotate to another table and interact with another judicial officer.
To facilitate interaction, each table will have a bucket from which participants will randomly draw "ice breaker" questions. Among the participating judicial officers will be Chief Judge Gerald E. Rosen, U.S. District Court Judges Avern Cohn, Patrick J. Dugan, Bernard A. Friedman, Nancy G. Edmunds, Paul D. Borman, Denise Page Hood, Victoria A. Roberts, George Caram Steeh, Marianne O. Battani, Sean F. Cox, Stephen J. Murphy III, Mark A. Goldsmith, and Gershwin A. Drain; Chief Bankruptcy Judge Phillip J. Shefferly; Bankruptcy Judges Thomas J. Tucker, Marci McIver, Walter Shapero and Steven Rhodes; and Magistrate Judges Mona K. Majzoub, Laurie Michelson; and David Grand.
Registrants may request the other attorney with whom they wish to be paired by sending an email to fbamich@fbamich.org. All other participants will be paired at random by RISE Committee members.
