Adoption Day celebration planned for Nov. 26 in Oakland County

The Family Division of the Oakland County Circuit will conduct the 11th Annual Celebration of Michigan Adoption Day program in the Board of Commissioners Auditorium beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26. This event is being held in conjunction with the statewide celebration of Adoption Day.
Michigan Supreme Court Justice Bridget Mary McCormack will provide remarks and present a resolution from the Michigan Supreme Court recognizing Adoption Day in Oakland County.
The program will include finalization hearings for 12 adoptions as well as the presentation of the "Arthur Eugene Moore Champion of Children" award to Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Joan E. Young and the "Sandra Silver Advocate for Children" award to Attorney Deborah H. McKelvy.
