Florida man pleads guilty to 1991 Mich. murder

DEARBORN (AP) -- A 45-year-old Florida man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the 1991 rape and killing of a mother of five at a suburban Detroit social agency where she worked as a custodian.
Dearborn police say that Kelly M. Brady of Fort Pierce, Fla., made the plea Monday in Wayne County Circuit Court. Brady originally was charged with first-degree murder.
Sixty-two-year-old Gracielita Flores was working at the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services in Dearborn when she was killed July 12, 1991. Police say Brady was trying to burglarize the center when he killed Flores.
Police say the case remained unsolved until Brady confessed in 2012. A plea deal calls for Judge Gregory Bell to sentence him Dec. 4 to 30 to 60 years in prison.
