Video viewing event offers selection of topics

The Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) will host a Video Viewing Marathon--A Brown Bag Lunch Lecture Series Replay on Monday through Thursday, Dec. 9-12, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day at the Oakland County Bar Center, 1760 S. Telegraph Rd. in Bloomfield Hills. The program will feature the past videos from "Anatomy of a Criminal Case--Years XIV & XV."
Attendees can earn one credit for criminal assignment requirements. To receive credit, viewers must arrive with 10 minutes of the start of each video.
Two videos will be shown each day. The cost for this video replay is $20 per video. The first video will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the second video will begin at noon each day.
The dates and topics are as follows:
* Monday, Dec. 9, Video A - Anatomy of an Arson Case; Video B - Anatomy of the Appellate Process Including the New MCR 7.100.
* Tuesday, Dec. 10, Video A - Handling Special Issues in Media Cases; Video B - Holmes Youthful Trainee Act--Is Your Client Eligible?
* Wednesday, Dec. 11, Video A - Sentencing Guidelines Training; Video B - Motion Practice in Circuit Court.
* Thursday, Dec. 12, Video A - Cyber Stalking and Other Internet Crimes; Video B - Juveniles Tried as Adults, Designated Cases and Waivers.
Pre-registration is recommended as seating is limited. Attendees are asked to bring their own lunch and popcorn will be provided.
