On Wednesday, Nov. 13, the Oakland County Board of Commissioners presented a proclamation and award to recognize Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson (center) for 20 years of Budgetary Excellence.
On September 17th, he reached the 20th milestone of having his 20th consecutive balanced budget passed by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners.
The board also honored Patterson for being selected nationally as one of Governing Magazine’s 2013 Public Officials of the Year. He was the only county official selected out of the nine honorees by the non-partisan national Governing Magazine for this award.
Happy to present Patterson with a proclamation recognizing his efforts at the Board meeting in the Commissioners Auditorium in Pontiac were (left to right) Commissioners Marcia Gershenson and Shelley Goodman Taub, Board Chairperson Michael J. Gingell, and Board Vice Chairperson Jeff Matis.
