Thursday Profile: Scott Grabel

Scott Grabel was born and raised in Atlantic City. After graduating from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 1991 with a degree in accounting, he moved to Lansing to attend the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating with honors in 1994.
Grabel worked first with the Michigan Court of Appeals Prehearing Department, and then as a staff attorney for a national law firm, where he was promoted as regional director of attorneys for four states and found his passion for criminal defense law.
In 1999 he resigned in order to start his own firm, Grabel & Associates in East Lansing, with a sole dedication to criminal defense. Grabel supports the Access to Justice Fund, The Innocence Project and Proving Innocence, a Michigan based organization fighting to free the wrongly convicted.
In his spare time, Grabel enjoys spending time with his children, playing all types of sports, and working towards obtaining his private pilot license.
