Attorney to help raise funds for local library
Registration is now open for the Friends of the Rochester Hills Public Library's Wine, Wit & Wisdom fundraiser which will take place on Saturday, March 8, at the library. Tickets are $45 per person and are available at the library. The event will run between 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. and attendees will hear two great talks, enjoy wine, craft beers, appetizers and dessert.
"The event will be based on the popular TED Talks (www.ted.com) and each speaker will repeat their talk once" said library director Christine Lind Hage. Guests will be able to listen to two of the topics.
Among the speakers is attorney Paul R. Hage, partner in Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer, & Weiss's Insolvency and Reorganization Practice Group, who will give "An Insider's View of the Detroit Bankruptcy."
In addition to good food and food for thought, there will be a silent auction. Auction items include the use of a condo in Puerto de Vallarta for one week, a gourmet dinner for 8 served in the winner's home, art work, several gift baskets, and an evening at the theater or the symphony.
The Rochester Hills Public Library is located in downtown Rochester off of University Drive and three blocks east of Main Street. The library's website, www.rhpl.org, has information on how to register for a card and access all the library's services.
