Clinic provides answers to public's legal inquiries

The Oakland County Bar Association will present a free People's Law College on Thursday, March 27. at the Bloomfield Township Public Library from 6 to 8 p.m.
This free event is designed to help educate members of the community on different areas of the law and to assist attendees in finding answers to their legal questions with first-hand insight from Oakland County attorneys.
There will be four seminar sessions with two running simultaneously. The first two topics, Driver's License Restoration and Expungements with Raymond A. Correll from Raymond A. Correll PC and Oakland County Friend of the Court Referee Sahera Housey will run from 6 to 6:50 p.m. The second two sessions, Landlord/Tenant Issues with Marc P. Jerabek from Plunkett Cooney and Juvenile Issues will run from 7 to 7:50 p.m.
A free Ask-a-Lawyer session will also be held for the duration of the program. The Ask-a-Lawyer portion allows attendees to speak privately with a volunteer attorney about their personal questions and concerns. The attorneys will be able to discuss topics including juvenile, family, bankruptcy, probate, criminal, general civil, and landlord/tenant matters.
A representative from Common Ground will be present as well. Common Ground provides a lifeline for individuals and families in crisis, victims of crime, persons with mental illness, people trying to cope with critical situations and runaway and homeless youths.
This is a free event but registration is appreciated. Call the Oakland County Bar Association at 248-334-3400 to register. The Bloomfield Township Library is located at 1099 Lone Pine Road in Bloomfield Hills.
