Walsh College plans $15 million renovation

TROY (AP) -- Walsh College plans a $15 million renovation at its Troy campus that aims to change the look of the school.
The Detroit Free Press reports the project at the private business school plans to focus on student-life spaces and change the appearance of the suburban Detroit campus. There will be lounges for students to work in small groups or meet with visiting employers.
Walsh College has about 4,200 students, with most attending part-time. School President Stephanie Bergeron says Walsh College wants to "show the vibrancy of what's going on."
Construction is scheduled to start this summer and last 18 months. The renovation is the last step in a campus redesign that started with a campus facility master plan in 1999.
