Wolverine Bar addresses students

On Thursday, June 19, members of the Wolverine Bar Association spoke to the college students participating in the 2014 CLEO College Pre-Law Summer Institute at Cooley Law School’s Auburn Hills campus about their paths to the legal profession.

Among those addressing the students were (left to right) Cooley Auburn Hills Associate Dean John Nussbaumer, Wayne County 36th District Court Judge David A. Perkins, Detroit attorney Kim Ward, and Alex Simpson of Bodman PLC.

The institute was held at Cooley in Auburn Hills for the fifth year in partnership with Oakland University and the American Bar Association’s Council of Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO).

It offers underprivileged students  an opportunity to study the critical thinking skills necessary to succeed on the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) and in law school.
