Fair Housing Forum hosted at Wayne Law

The Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights, American Citizens for Justice, and the Fair Housing Center of Metropolitan Detroit presented a Fair Housing Forum on Saturday, July 12, at the Keith Center of Wayne State University Law School in Detroit.

Among those presenting at the forum were (left to right) Peter J. Hammer, director, Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights; Roland Hwang, vice president, American Citizens for Justice; and Al Young of the Fair Housing Center of Detroit.

“We’re holding this Fair Housing Forum to remind ourselves that intentional discrimination is still with us in the city and in the region and it’s incredibly important to stay vigilant against all forms of racial discrimination,” Hammer said.

The forum answered the questions: What are my rights under the Fair Housing Law?; How can I become a tester?; and Where do I take my complaints?
