Mobile technology focus of next ALA meeting
The Metropolitan Detroit Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) will host a Lunch Presentation featuring "The Bill & Phil Show 2014: Agile, Mobile and Hostile-The 'Secret' to Winning with Technology" on Thursday, Aug. 7, at Andiamo Detroit Riverfront.
Attorney Bill Ramsey and legal technologist Phil Hampton will reveal the winning formula for utilizing the latest tech gadgets, apps and tools successfully in a forward-looking, fast-paced and entertaining presentation. They will survey the latest innovations in mobile and office technology in this fast-paced and entertaining presentation. Emphasis will be placed upon sound policies for the use of these technologies in the workplace for both corporate-owned devices as well as the popular BYOD (By Your Own Device) model.
Also during the lunch presentation, the following ALA members will be honored for their 10-year anniversary: Mary Ann Dunham, Nancy Davies, and Kandi Lampkins in addition to acknowledging those ALA members who have previously served as chapter president.
Registration will begin at 11:45 a.m. followed by the lunch and presentation from noon to 1:30 p.m. The ALA Chapter will pay for valet parking at Andiamo Detroit Riverfront, 400 Renaissance Center in Detroit. There is no cost to ALA members and non-members pay $35. There is a $25 cancellation fee (cancellations after Aug. 4)
