Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and WMU-Cooley’s Student Bar Association hosted its Integrity in Our Communities Speaker Series on Monday, Oct. 20, at the school’s Auburn Hills campus.
The lunchtime speaker series offers students, staff, and faculty the opportunity to hear from attorneys, judges, and professionals on professionalism.
Attorney Brian Laxton (center) was the featured speaker. Following Laxton’s presentation, Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Mary Ellen Brennan (right) administered the pro bono pledge to students and faculty who wish to commit to engaging in pro bono service opportunities.
Helping to show off a copy of the pledge with Laxton and Brennan is WMU-Cooley Cooley Auburn Hills campus Acting Associate Dean Lisa Halushka (left).
