Animal shelter holding 'Pets for Vets' program

Friends of the Animals for the Jackson County Area, Inc., will pay the adoption fee for one dog or up to two cats per Veteran, from Nov. 10-22, while funding for the program remains available.
To qualify, a Veteran must show a photo ID as well as a copy of their DD214 Discharge papers, or a Jackson County Veteran's ID card.
The Jackson County Animal Shelter is located at 3370 Spring Arbor Road in Jackson, and is open weekdays 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., (closed between 1 and 2 p.m.,), and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
