Borgsdorf named to Parks Advisory Commission
Stephen Borgsdorf, a senior attorney in Dykema's Commercial Litigation Practice Group, has been appointed by Ann Arbor Mayor John Hieftje to a three-year term on the Ann Arbor Parks Advisory Commission (PAC).
Formed in 1981 by the Ann Arbor City Council, the PAC recommends policies and advises on community park development. It also provides a formal opportunity for public involvement regarding community park and recreation services, including: park rules and regulations; park and recreation facility policies, fees, hours, and scheduling; annual operating budget; park land acquisitions; major new development projects; and capital improvement and acquisition funding.
"Parks are a vital part of any community," said Borgsdorf. "I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the city of Ann Arbor in this capacity and hope my legal experience will serve the commission well."
Borgsdorf, who received his B.A. from Kalamazoo College, and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin, also volunteers in various other community roles. He has been a board member for the Ann Arbor YMCA since 2013, the Community Action Network Southeast since 2010 and the Old West Side Association since 2007.
