A (Habeas) Chorus Line presented its annual public performance on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Berkley High School auditorium.
This year’s show was titled “Laugher Ever After” and featured the debut of such new songs as “Choke Off the Water,” “Dedicated Follower of Karsdashian,” “Don’t Let the Huns Catch You Spying,” “Gimme Twelve Steps,” and “See You Later, Immigrator.”
Ready to take the stage were (seated, left to right) Michael Leibson, retired assistant U.S. attorney; Judy Zorn of The Zorn Law Firm PLC; and Sara Fischer, a former case manager for the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan; along with (standing, left to right) Beverly Hills attorney Brian Figot, executive director of the Federal Bar Association; Joseph LaBella, vice president, director of contracts for Jack Morton Worldwide; Angela Williams, deputy general counsel with the Detroit Housing Commission; Justin Klimko of Butzel Long PC; Mark Lezotte of Butzel Long; and James Robb, associate dean and senior counsel of Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in Lansing.
AHCL was formed in 1992 for what the group thought was a one-time engagement for the local chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Since then they have performed at venues throughout Michigan and around the country.
