Kiwanis fundraiser Dec. 12

 On Friday, Dec. 12, Kiwanis club members will be stationed at various spots around the Jackson community, to raise money for shoes and boots for needy children. They will "sell" the Kiwanis Newspaper in exchange for donations. Since 1918, the club has raised nearly $700,000.

This special Kiwanis newspaper, can be purchased between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the streets in downtown Jackson, including Consumers Energy, the post office, Jackson Coffee Company and County National Bank on Cortland Street;First Merit branches Vandercook Lake, Brown and Morrell, and Wisner; The Hunt Club, 1514 Daniel Road; Klavon’s Pizzeria & Pub, 6010 Clinton Road in Rives Junction; Jackson Crossing; Knight's Steak House, 2125 Horton Road; Polly's Country Markets at Parnall Road, Summit Oaks and Spring Arbor Road; Sam's Club; and Wal-Mart.
